Excerpt from "Exploring Relationships:"

The telephone rang in my office and as I picked up the line I heard Trisha on the other end. Her voice sounded both excited and desperate. "The party this weekend at Annette’s was wonderful. I met this great guy! We talked for hours; we had so much in common. Then we went back to my place and made love for the rest of the night. It was the best sex I’ve ever had; it was a totally cosmic experience! I felt like we were connected at this really karmic level, like we had always known each other and had just been waiting to meet in this lifetime. I made us breakfast in the morning, and he promised to call me. He had my number in his wallet, and in his pocket. Now it’s Thursday, and I still haven’t heard from him! What did I do wrong? Why isn’t he calling me? Will I hear from him again?"

I’m sure we have all been in a similar place at one time or another in our lives: the tormenting stage of beginning a connection with another human being. Panic sets in and we reach for the phone to call a good friend, or in this case an Astrologer, to get some advice on a much-desired relationship. I can see from Trisha’s progressions and transits to her natal chart when she is about to have a significant relationship in her life. But unfortunately, no matter how much I study or meditate, I have never been able to see the partner’s name written in the chart, much as I (and every other Astrologer) would love to find that indicator! It is totally possible that she has met the man of her dreams, but this experience may be only a sign that she is now attracting the type of man she will eventually create a love bond with.
