About Ruthie Grant

Ruthie O. Grant's poetry and short stories have won national literary awards. She has also taught English and Creative Writing in public schools in Houston and Los Angeles. Ruthie's son Salim was the original Jason in "Barney and the Backyard Gang". He has also co-starred in films such as "Ghost Dad" and "The Hitman" , and is a lead singer with Ode Records recording group "All God's Children". Ruthie's daughter Crystal has filmed 19 national and international commercials; appeared on the cover of "Barbie" and "L.A. Parent" ; on billboards and various television series.

The author has developed careers of children in Texas, California and New York. Her chidren have appeared in such television shows as "Family Matters", "Thirty Something", "America's Funniest People", "Sinbad", "Where I Live", "Thea", "Salute Your Shorts", "The Wonder Years", " Totally Hidden Video", etc., and films such as "Beethoven", "Memphis", "Ghost Dad", "The Hitman", "The Invisible Kids", among others.
